They feature two tungsten bands along their length, which help to pin your tackle to the lake bed in the area of your rig. There are three types of leader available: ring swivel, Hybrid Lead Clip and Helicopter. Each leader is available in weedy green, gravel brown, clay and slit colours as well as clear. They are extremely robust too, with a breaking strain of 30lb.

The essence of the system is that it will allow a snagged lead to pull off the rig, thus releasing the fish from the unseen snag or weed bed so you land it rather than lose it. If you were attached to a really big carp, would you forfeit the lead to guarantee you landed the carp? We know we would and it’s a small price to pay. All Korda packaging is overflowing with information on how to use the products effectively. This booklet expands and reinforces that information. The basic rule of the lead clip system is the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out. If the swivel comes out first the lead will never eject. Instead, the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig leaving the lead snagged and the fish too!

Hybrid Lead Clip Since its release, the Hybrid Lead Clip has established itself as the best clip on the market. It has one very simple purpose, and that's to help you ditch the lead if the fish you hook becomes snagged. The design features an integrally moulded Ring Swivel, ensuring that the swivel simply cannot pull free from its housing. This forces lead ejection in the event of it becoming jammed meaning that carp can be landed easily in weedy, snaggy conditions. The streamlined, one-piece design means there are no fiddly locking pegs or hinges to worry about - just connect the leader to one end and the rig to the other! The uprated arm allows leads up to 5oz to be cast safely even at extreme range and the clip is available in all four of the key Safe Zone colours: weedy green, clay, gravel and silt.

Korda hybrid Tail Rubbers creates a seamless join to tubing and leaders. They cover and protect large knots and are used when heavy lines and leaders are created (40lb plus).  They help prevent any tangles in your line. Ensure the clip is wet before pushing the Tail Rubber on and never push the Tail Rubber on fully. Available in two colours: Weed/Silt or Gravel/Clay

The existing Hybrid Lead Clip range is already incredibly popular as it makes it so easy to set up in a way that will ensure that your lead is ditched during the fight, thus increasing your chances of landing whatever you have hooked. The whole idea of the Hybrid system is that rather than fiddling around trying to get different components to fit together neatly and effectively, the Hybrid is all-in-one and you simply tie your main line to one end of it and connect your hook link to the other, knowing that it will perform perfectly every single time.

Heli-Safe System We've been working on a solution to a problem that anglers been faced with for some time, how to safely and consistently discharge the lead when fishing with a helicopter setup. In order to be a true game-changing product, the Heli-Safe had to fulfill some important criteria… One such criterion was the ability to fish chod rigs at range. The heavy leads needed to fish at long range often become a problem once a fish is hooked. The combination of a very short hook link and large lead would often result in dropped fish.

We found that by using a small piece to cover the swivel on the lead it kept everything neat and tidy but more importantly offered much better camouflage. They are also the perfect size to fit over our Kwik-links and Stik-Klip.

Super Stiff Shrink Tube - Available in Gravel Brown - Easy and Quick to steam - The shrink tube will fold under excess pressure to prevent any damage to the carp - 8 lengths of 55mm Shrink tube, but not as you know it! COG System A lead system that betters the hooking qualities of an inline, yet casts like a lead clip, with all its safety benefits? It doesn’t exist, right? Well, such a product has just arrived at Korda HQ. After what seems like ages in the development, the COG system is finally here, in physical form. COG stands for Centre of Gravity, which is a reference to the unique way that the hook link is attached to the heaviest part of the lead, giving instant, unparalleled hooking. Put simply, this system has been designed to convert more pick-ups into fish on the bank. So, why did it take so long? Well, simply put, we tested it, tweaked it, changed it and then changed it back again across the space of a few years. The whole sampling process takes an awfully long time and because the end result had to work flawlessly, each stage was tested rigorously. Right through from early testing, to DVD sessions at Gigantica and intense scrutiny in front of the unblinking Underwater cameras, the COG has proven itself to be a genuine advantage.

Leadcore Helicopter Leaders Based around our Kable Leadcore and No-Trace system, these ready-tied leaders are constructed to exacting standards. They’re literally as good as we can tie ourselves, so you can rest assured that they won’t let you down. The leaders are 1m long and come in two versions, weed/silt and gravel. Of course, being tied from Kable, they feature a clever banded camouflage pattern that’s been designed to break up the outline of the leader when on the bottom. The No-Trace system offers unrivalled safety, should you crack off or become cut off. If a hooked fish becomes snagged or weeded, then the No-Trace bead can slide off the Chod Sleeve and drop off the leader entirely. This leaves the swivel free to slide up and off the leader, unimpeded by a bead, which could catch on weed that has collected around the leader knot. You can use the leaders with most types of presentation, including the chod rig.

Inline Saftey Kit This innovative system designed by Jason Hayward allows you to fish inline leads in weedy conditions, as the lead will eject from the stem when snagged. The Inline Safety Kit provides a fish-friendly way of using an inline lead. The fail safe release mechanism will withstand any cast, and ensures the lead will only release if the rig is lost or the fish gets weeded/snagged. This makes the Inline Safety Kit perfect to use fish with short hook links or around weed and snags. It’s also perfect to use in Solidz bags.

It's that time of year when the carp can often be found in the upper layers, and this makes them very susceptible to surface baits, as long as you have the right kit to present them! So it is the perfect time for us to release the fantastic new Interceptor Float range, which is the ultimate all-round surface controller float, with sizes covering everything from under your feet to long range fishing out in the middle of the lake. The colour of these inline floats has been carefully selected to make them as visible as possible from above the surface, so that the angler can see them as clearly as possible, but at the same time are almost invisible to carp below the surface. They are available in a variety of sizes, the smallest being just 5g which is perfect for flicking baits out close to the bank but where freelining won’t give you the casting accuracy or line control that you need.
