ABU was founded 100 years ago, in 1921, in Svängsta, Sweden by Carl August Borgström. The company manufactured pocket watches, telephone timers and taxi meters. Unfortunately, World War II caused a sharp decline in the demand for taxi meters. Undaunted, ABU redirected its skills toward the development of precision fishing reels used by anglers the world over. A century later we are still as committed as we were then to providing anglers around the world with the highest quality and most innovative products. The box you hold in your hands contains 3 of our most iconic lures; the Glimmy, ABU-Draget and Island. These lures are remakes of our original models from the 1960’s and 1970’s, in original colors. Gift them, collect them or fish them; They still catch as good today as they did all those years ago.

Due to the magnetic Weight Ramp system, the Long Shot casts extremely far and accurate! Designed for fishing for strong and mean saltwater fish like seabass and barracuda this lure has an internal wire-through construction and a reinforced lip. This means that you can fish this lure close to the rocks where the big predators are hiding! Fish the Long Shot with jerks and pauzes, the wobble on the stop is an amazing fish trigger!

The IMA Chappy is a compact surface lure which has an easy to use walk the dog action. You can work it slow or fast and the small cupped face creates a natural splash and bubble action. Add in the attraction of the inbuilt rattle and you have all the qualities needed to entice a hunting bass to strike.

The IMA Chappy 100 weighs 18g and with its long casting ability and walk the dog action is one of my personal favourite and most frequently recommended surface lures.

The IMA Sasuke 120 can be cast a serious distance, even into strong winds, due to it's highly dense internal shifting tungsten ball weights. It's 'dished lip' and weight trasfer allow it to vibrate tightly on the retrieve and the lure can also be made to dart erratically. The IMA lures are highly durable made from tough ABS plastic.
