Portuguese rigs are deadly, the concept of fishing with three hooks below the weight is alien in shore fishing, and one most people will think ends up in tangles! Our URFE has been designed to construct these easy to tie, often underrated rigs. The inbuilt rig clip is hidden by a piece of tubing, slotting the lead-in here and then moving the tubing over to secure, fixes the lead in place. To the opposite swivel, the mainline is attached, and to the middle swivel, the rig is connected. The URFE allows for fishing longer rigs with longer snoods, giving the rig more movement, particularly effective when the fishing is slow.

When the sea bed is strewn with rocks, debris (and lost tackle!) and there is a good chance that your sinker will not be able to release, so you could lose your sinker, rig and possibly one heck of a catch! The Solution is to include a weak point in your rig, and if the sinker gets stuck you control where the line will snap, so you only loose the sinker and not the rig! The Genie Breaker has been designed to meet these needs, with safety foremost (the last thing you want is for the sinker to release whilst casting!) and dependably releasing every time.

The Pulley Rig has been a favourite amongst anglers for many years. A Pulley Rig will generally require the use of a Pulley Swivel for the main rig body to run through.

A simple fact with clip down rigs where the snood line is usually a lower breaking strain than the rig body is that the snood stretches considerably more during the cast! In consequence, after a few casts the snood will be too long to clip down and the rig will no longer function. To prevent this, the Genie SRT Spring compresses during the cast, reducing the stretch in the line and so helping to maintain the snoods original length, cast after cast. The SRT Spring also keeps the hook under optimum tension in the bait clip during the cast and gives dynamic release!
