Squid Jigs

The EGI OH TR SINKER are helmet-shaped weights designed to equip squid jigs, allowing for longer casts or faster descents to the desired depth. They are also particularly useful for stabilizing the lure on days when wind or currents are pulling on the line. These helmet-shaped weights are compatible with all models in the Yamashita EGI range, with the attachment ring fitting perfectly into one of the two upper openings of the sinker.

A jig that has been specifically designed for fishing for squid and cuttlefish. The jig itself is made from a transparent plastic body which is covered in a tight, weave, net like material. This is done to firstly give the effect of light passing through the lure giving it a natural look as light passes through the lure when it is jigged, it will twinkle, sparkle and flash to encourage squid to attack. This material is also hard and rough, giving the squid the sensation of fish skin, encouraging them to grasp the lure with vigour, to ensure positive hook-ups. Brown wings and a deep, red eye provide extra attraction and are a distinct contrast to the colour of the body. The jig features a weight under the chin of the lure which is drilled, this allows the addition of more weight when fishing in deeper water. A luminous band followed by a series of razor sharp, stainless steel points completes the jig at the business end. This is a light jig, that can be used on lighter lure rods and light, specific squid rods.

The New Nomura Squid jigs have been long tested by Nomura's technicians to provide them with a slow sinking action suitable for finding squid or cuttlefish. The bodies of these slow sink lures are strong, resistant and present classic shapes of king prawn, finished with innovative colourings.
