Originally successful on commercial match waters the flat method feeder has now been adopted for bigger carp on the prolific runs waters. But to cope with long range casting, larger diameter reel lines and to have enough weight to work effectively as a bolt rig, bigger, heavier and more aerodynamic method feeders are needed. ESPs Mega Method Feeders are the answer! These feeders can accommodate as much bait as the popular sizes of PVA bag but by using the accompanying mould, are much quicker and easier than filling and tying up a bag. They are available in two body sizes, Large and X-large with the large in 2oz and 3oz and the XL in 2.5oz and 3.5oz, with a different size soft mould to fit each body large (green) and X-large (orange). During testing these feeders have proven to be hugely successful and their beauty is in that they are so easy to use. By using any dedicated method mix groundbait mixed correctly, the bait stays in place on impact allowing it to dissolve and break down once on the lake bed releasing attractants and food signals quickly into the water. The design results in the lead in the flat base and the bait load distributing the weight into an aerodynamic bomb shape. This increases casting distance and improves accuracy even in strong cross winds. On the body of the feeder, the two largest bait holding ribs are well spaced and curved away from each other. This leaves a generous gap so the hook bait can be placed in the optimum position. The semi flexible bait mould has a small indentation at its centre point. By positioning the hook bait in this depression it will be perfectly located between the two largest curved ribs of the feeder and will sit partially showing right on top of the moulded bait. This puts it right in pole position for a positive pick up and hook hold as soon as a carp sucks in the bait. Another interesting feature is the rubber grommet which fits up inside the nose of the feeder and accommodates either an ESP Quick Clip (supplied) or a size 9 swivel if preferred. This grommet provides a semi-fixed interference fit for an effective but safe bolt rig set up. A full load of method mix ground bait adds roughly 1oz (30g) to the large body and 1.25oz (35g) to the XL. This means the heaviest 3.5oz XL feeder weighs around 4.75oz when bait is added so we recommend a powerful carp rod of at least 3lb test curve to be used for distance casting. These Standard Uni-Link Swivels also improve the presentation of lighter, more flexible mono and soft braided hook links, effectively reducing tangles on the cast. They come in packets of 10 and are available in sizes 9, 10 and 11 to fit all popular safety clips and in line leads.

The bulbous end makes a perfect stop for small sliding rings, or for trapping big pellet wagglers into position. Two or three Grippa Stops next to each other provide adjustable stops for link legers, light bombs and small feeders. The direction of the stop on the main line can also be reversed by taking it off the wire onto a loop of nylon and then transferring it to the reel line. They are made from a tough yet forgiving material that doesn’t damage the line.

The Grippa Stop’s bulbous end makes a perfect stop for small sliding rings, or for locking wagglers into position. Two Grippa Stops next to each other provide even more security when casting heavy bombs, wagglers and feeders. The direction of the stop on the main line can also be reversed by taking it off the wire onto a loop of nylon and then transferring it to the reel line.

ESP Quick Change Uni Link, Perfect for the highly effective 'Ronnie Rig', the slight opening in the crook makes it easy to attach the hook and the smooth rotation provides 360-degree movement. The two different sizes can be tailored to different sized hooks and baits to create a perfectly balanced presentation. These swivels can also be used on a helicopter rig where the crook allows quick change of a looped hooklink and the large ring provides a safe set up. Matt black finish.

You can also adjust the length of the hook link by sliding the stop up and down.The large size comes into its own when you need to anchor bigger feeders, bombs and the biggest of floats securely in place, particularly pellet wagglers. When you’re casting big, loaded pellet wagglers, the bigger stops in pairs are perfect for keeping everything locked into place. Because the Super Tight Line Stops are so tight fitting, it is advised that you moisten your line before adjusting each stop individually.

They are available in four sizes, 18, 14, 11 and 9. They are free rotating swivels with round eyes and a matt finish and cover all fresh water angling situations.

Swivel Beads run smoothly up and down the main line and are ideal for all types of sliding link legers using bombs, swan shot, or even light feeders.

The rubber bead is designed to house the top ring and barrel of the swivel and leave the bottom ring protruding and free to rotate. Using a five-turn grinner knot in the following reel lines, the knot will fit neatly inside the bead.
