Carp Fishing Hooks

This is the same classic curve pattern previously known as the ESP Raptor, but this new range has been made even better by stepping up the wire gauge in each size and giving them the Cryogen treatment. These Curves are now around 25% stronger than their predecessors while still retaining long fine needle sharp points which are now extra durable. These are highly effective in a whole variety of rig presentations (perfect for the Ronnie Rig) and their quick turning, anti-eject shape combined with a needle sharp point ensures exceptional hook holds.

Especially affective on Ronnies and also bottom bait rigs where it flips and pricks instantly. Available in barbed and barbless in sizes 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8 and made using the same twin tempering process as the existing Cryogen hooks which results in exceptional strength and point durability. The relative proportions of a long subtly curved shank, 9 in-turned eye, wide gape and long hypodermic like point result in a hook pattern that is incredibly effective. On Ronnie rigs the hook point is in an aggressive poised position making it a very efficient hooker with superb hook holds and it is equally effective on bottom bait rigs, where the hook is very difficult to eject and turns and catches hold securely even without the aid of a line aligner or kicker.

The Wide Gape Long Shank has been developed with the intention of creating the ultimate modern carp hook, combining key elements from the greatest fish catching patterns, for use on the most popular rigs around today. We started with a long shank hook, renowned for it’s hooking properties, we added to that a slight, but sweeping curve, this ensures the hook will turn in an instant once inside the carps mouth, putting it in the prefect hooking position. A wide gape was also required, to give the point as much chance of catching hold as possible. Finally, a beaked point to ensure that once hooked the hook remains in place and the chances of it pulling are reduced. Never have all these elements been combined in a carp hook and the result is deadly! These hooks are perfectly suited to Ronnie/Spinner rig presentations alongside all manner of different bottom bait and popup rigs.

The new “CARP CIRCLE HOOKS” have an angled ring eye that’s perfect for No Knots and Whipping Knots and an offset or reversed point. Available in sizes 8, 10, 12, 14 and 16 with a PTFE coating in barbless only because they are so wonderfully efficient at both hooking and holding.
