This is the flagship of the PENN® Tidal surf casting concept. These blanks have been years in development. Working together with some of the best experts in Europe, the elite series it built by the elite, to give you the best possibilities you can find in a surf rod. To accomplish this, PENN® had to push the boundaries further that they have ever done before. The extreme light blank is made with a combination between 50T carbon and with the addition of Triaxial Multidirectional Weave Structure, PENN® accomplished to make a rod with incredible recovery speed, which truly shows on the casting distance.

The PENN® Tidal XR Solid Carbon K-Type rods are part of the new and exclusive PENN® Tidal surfcasting concept. The Tidal XR Solid Carbon K-Type rods have a very slim and lightweight blank which is made of a mixture of 30T and 40T carbon. The responsive blank also features carbon X-wrap technology, which makes the blank even more powerful and reduces twisting, resulting in improved casting accuracy and extreme casting properties.

The PENN® Tidal XR Beachcasters with sliding reel seats are specifically designed for use with both spinning- and multiplier reels. These sliding reel seats do not only allow for extreme versatility when it comes to the reel used, they also allow the angler to fix the reel at the preferred height on the rear grip. The rods are fitted with durable saltwater resistant guides and the blanks have been optimized for extreme casting distances.

The Shakespeare SALT XT Beachcaster is a unique rod for it’s price. By using the best quality carbon, the medium-fast tapered blank is very powerful and strong, but also has a very low diameter. The action produces a deeper feel in the blank and allows to switch between techniques depending on the situation

The Shakespeare SALT XT Long Surf is designed with a very powerful but slim blank to deliver maximum casting distance with both mono or braided lines. By using a high grade carbon, the blank is very slim but has still plenty of power to launch your rig a long way.

PENN Tidal XR is part of the new and exclusive Tidal Surfcasting Concept in PENN. The Tidal XR Beach casters with sliding reel seats have been especially designed to be used with either a fixed spool reel or multiplier and are equipped with the new SW proof Fuji-O deep pressed frame guides. The blanks are built with a mixture of high modulus 30/40T carbon to ensure a lightweight, responsive and very slim blank. Next to that, the special Carbon X-Wrap technology adds to the strength of the and also decreased twisting, thereby improving casting accuracy and control. They feature a spliced hybrid tip for improved sensitivity, however the butt and mid-section offer a stiffer progressive action then standard continental rods to produce immense casting capabilities. Despite the blanks slim profile the rod has a good reserve of power to help you when playing larger fish and the FXD Elite makes a very nice all round shore rod which covers the needs of all but the harden rock angler.
