The PENN® Fierce® III spinning reels are available in a range of sizes, from 1000 to 8000. Featuring a full metal body and sideplate, along with PENN HT-100™ carbon fiber drag washers, the Fierce III can handle anything inshore or nearshore. A 4+1 shielded stainless steel ball bearing system ensures smooth retrieves while the heavy-duty aluminum bail wire and superline spool allow for easy line management.

The Superior is a spinning reel designed by the Japanese Abu Garcia team. It stands for lightness and smoothness for an affordable price. The extensive range has reels with difference gear ratios (5.2:1 for normal, 6.2:1 for high gear ratio) and has many shallow spool models, ideal to use in combination with braided line. The Superior is the right choice for anglers who are looking for a modern, light and strong spinning reel.

Our HT-100 drag washers are housed in a fully sealed spool to give the stopping power needed for big saltwater fish. SG6 To make a reel with peerless strength and power you have to make some compromises, right? Wrong. The SG6 is made with a Carbon Reinforced Composite (CRC) body and rotor, which is designed to increased stiffness and strength but with a much lower weight that standard graphite material. It can handle whatever extreme forces you throw at it, and it won’t weigh you down. Quite simply, we have thrown everything at the SGS10, the pinnacle of the Savage Gear spinning range. It features the very best components and materials combined with some of our most innovative design features and ideas. Strong and light thanks to its aluminium body, rotor and handle, the reel also brings serious performance to the table. It’s the first reel to use our Temperature Controlled System (TCS), which uses a combination of an Air Spool ventilator and titanium washers to help cool down the drag system during use. When a drag overheats, it can affect how well it functions and also vastly reduce its lifespan, but with TCS you keep a cool drag and a constant performance. This system can offer a heat reduction of up to 30% when compared to traditionally designed spools with metal washers. As if that wasn’t enough, the reel is pretty much bombproof when it comes to saltwater resistance – it has no less than five of our Hydro Seals, which are designed to prevent water ingress and give the reels a longer life, which is backed up by an International Ingress Protection Rating of IPX6.

SGS8 Tough saltwater fishing environments demand tough fishing tackle. So, how about a reel with a unique coating that easily withstood 500 hours of being sprayed with saltwater in testing? That’s our new SGS8, complete with SW500 coating. The reel is saltwater resistant in other ways too, including its sealed 8+1 steel ball bearings, sealed drag system and lightweight and strong aluminium body and Carbon Reinforced Composite rotor. Being able to withstand constant saltwater onslaughts isn’t this reel’s only quality, though. It also features our Friction Control System 3 drag system, which houses washers made in a three-layer design – a fibreglass layer with a carbon fibre layer on either side. This gives the washers unrivalled stiffness resulting in an ultra-smooth and powerful, fish-stopping drag – it also means they can be flipped over and used on either side to extend their lifespan.
